Project Challenges

Site Conditions

High-bay warehouse with crane hook and rack installation, high outdoor temperatures, and dust presence during the dry season. Trailer access was limited to specific maneuvering windows.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

We worked alongside electrical, sprinklers, racking, and conveyor systems, maintaining service aisles and clearances for HVAC equipment. Any deviation could delay the CEDIS start-up.

Tight Deadlines

The client required a phased delivery to enable key picking and packing areas without halting construction. Logistics had to follow the exact installation sequence per work front.

1) Engineering and BIM Modeling

We modeled the complete network in BIM: square and rectangular ducts for main runs, spiroducts for branches, and fittings (connections, elbows, reducers, hoods, and adapters). Using clash detection, we resolved early interferences with racks and sprinklers, and generated a numbered breakdown by work front and level. This allowed precise planning of manufacturing, packaging, and delivery routes.

2) Automated Manufacturing

Our automated machinery ensured consistent tolerances, uniform flanges and seals, and finishes that ease stacking and edge protection. By producing the exact dimensions in the shop, we reduced on-site adjustments and minimized waste, achieving significant time and cost savings.

3) JIT Logistics and Packaging

  • Palletizing by zone (front/level) with separators and strapping.
  • Labeling with section code, installation destination, and sequence.
  • Packing lists per shipment and photographic receiving guide.
  • Just-in-time deliveries to prevent on-site overstocking.

Real-time tracking and assisted unloading allowed installation to start as soon as materials arrived, maintaining the installation rhythm of the general contractor.
